Moisturize
We recommend right after a hot shower, but there are many other techniques people use to moisturize their facial hair. Whatever technique you use, dampen your facial hair before applying any moisturizer (cream, balm, oil, etc.)
Brush or Comb
Keep your beard hair’s styling in order. Brushing is a very important part of the process when it comes to proper facial hair care! Brush in the shower, brush at work, even brush at the dinner table! The more you brush, the more you’ll see uniformity and structure in your facial hair.
Think of your face in terms of these three sections: left cheek, right cheek, and under chin. After moisturizing thoroughly, brush each section at least 50 times; left side, right side, and then under chin. Brush your facial hair throughout the day, in the morning, and before you sleep, or after a hot shower for the best possible results.
SuaveCap
Don’t let all your brushing go to waste; let’s hold it all together! The SuaveCap holds all that brushing together; helping it stay nice and laid throughout your day. You can either wear the Beard SuaveCap at night to lay down your facial hair in your sleep, or after a hot shower to lay it down, prevent tangling, keep the structure/style intact, retain your beards overall moisture content, and allow it to get softer. If you choose the shower option, wear the SuaveCap for about 45-60 minutes for the best possible results.
How to wear it
Put on the Beard SuaveCap and adjust it to your face using the straps behind the SuaveCap; pull the straps as needed. Then, make sure the straps are placed around the CROWN of your head, not anywhere below or above crown. You’re looking for the material to be nice, perfectly snug, and PRESSED to your facial hair, not too loose. Overtime, you will surely feel the difference, and will definitely see the uniformity, growth, a softer beard, and smoother than ever before.
Note
The Beard SuaveCap is catered to shorter beards. So, YOUR FACIAL HAIR SHOULD BE BETWEEN STUBBLE LENGTH, TO ABOUT AN INCH AND A HALF. IF YOUR FACIAL HAIR IS LONGER THAN THAT, THE PRODUCT MAY NOT FIT!!!
It is highly recommended that you trim, not shave off, your facial hair. When you trim, you get rid of the old hairs and bring in the newly trained hairs. We all know when it’s time to trim, especially when those hairs aren’t growing evenly. Cut those hairs that do not want to cooperate!
You should not feel your heart beating in your face NOR feel like you’re being choked, the SuaveCap is too tight then. Loosen the SuaveCap using the straps going above your head
After taking off the SuaveCap, you’ll probably have lines on your cheek as if you took a very good nap; this eventually goes away in the shower.
If you wear a durag, put the durag on first.
